Swedish Street Rod Nationals was held at the western park High Chaparral, that is situated in the "county" Smaland in the southern parts of sweden. This year the Nationals also was an European Nationals, so there was a lot of rodder friends from other parts of europe to. This was the second time for the Euro nats and i leave it to my euro rodders to judge it (success or not). This year I didn't have so far to go for the Nats but there was this other problem, we had to be back on sunday 10:00 a clock because my first grandson was to be christened. More about that later on.

This is FAVORITE number two.  It's going to take about 6 sec @ 56Kbps to load this picture.
It's going to take about 5 sec @ 56Kbps to load this picture. Check out the high tech interior (how is Boyd anyhow)
Its necessary to have an gas tank but you can do without a floor.  It's going to take about 3 sec @ 56Kbps to load this picture.
It's going to take about 6 sec @ 56Kbps to load this picture. This "Rod" was low checkout the "pavement resting on the rear link.
Here we have our French Rodders eating breakfast, or something. There was about six or seven rods from France attending the meeting.  It's going to take about 5 sec @ 56Kbps to load this picture.
It's going to take about 5 sec @ 56Kbps to load this picture. This is one of the French Rods, they may have something to learn about stance but i certainly think they are on the right way. With my non existing french and my hands i managed to understand that they have some problems with Police and government how to build and register there cars.
The 28 was powered by a flathead that I never seen before, what i understand they where originally mounted in some French Army trucks. And it had the 59A integral bell housing , but 8BA type distributor. And an aluminum oil pan, and the water pumps where special to. Anyone with more info please send some mails. The heads had a casting saying F.M.A ?  It's going to take about 7 sec @ 56Kbps to load this picture.
It's going to take about 5 sec @ 56Kbps to load this picture. This is one of the nicest French cars on the meeting (one of the nicest at all really). The owner builder standing next to his car was an teacher in metal shaping and accident repairs, at an school in France.
The car was a real wreck when he started to rebuild it. He had this photo album showing what he started with . And the first picture in the album was an old one with him standing by the same type of car when he was a kid. Nice interior and check out the opening front window.  It's going to take about 3 sec @ 56Kbps to load this picture.
It's going to take about 4 sec @ 56Kbps to load this picture. The car had originally a lot of wood that was replaced by steel reinforcements, and the engine was replaced with an V6 ford. As i understood Registration with an V8 was out of the question in France.
